Donaubergland

What the natural world has created in the rugged and romantic valley of the Upper Danube is unique. A calm and untouched paradise. Also fascinating are its castles, ruins, chapels, bizarre rock towers and steep slopes, with mysterious caves and wonderful, often rare flora and fauna. Hike, row, climb or canoe, if you like to be active. Or go for a stroll and rest in wonderful quiet.

Black Forest

The South is mobilized with festivals. Alongside Tuttlingen's open-air festival Honbergsommer, further prominent festival events are spread over the summer in the area. Rottweil, Baden-Württemberg's oldest town brings famous stars into the Black Forest with its program of events "Ferienzauber". Constance and Singen also offer open-air atmosphere.

Lake Constance

The landscape around Lake Constance with its almost Mediterranean charm is enchanting: the blooming floral island of Mainau, the sun-drenched vineyard slope of the medieval town of Meersburg with is winding alleys. Or hike on the trail of a hundred-year old history on a visit to the Stone and Bronze Age lake dwellings, an open-air museum with 20 reconstructions of the original state. In nearby Schaffenhausen, the Rhine Falls, Europe's largest waterfall, offers you a magnificent spectacle. Seven hundred cubic meters of water per second pour over the rocks across an expanse of 150 m and a height of 23 m when the Rhine is at an average water level.
